Each of the 4 websites above showcases some of the best and the worst of UI/UX. Going through the entries/comments/winners/submissions, answer the following questions using the 10 point checklist and feedback pointers from Link: https://designlab.com/blog/design-critique-checklist-for-ux-designers#ten If the point isn't relevant to your question, you may include an explanation of why instead. For example, if you want to critique a physical product, it may not have a navigation or mobile design to give feedback on, and it's ok to explain that.

You should pick 4 specific examples from the above websites. The 4 examples are going to be your favorite, least favorite, most humorous, and which entry should have won. Your favorite and least favorite can come from any of the 4 websites. Your most humorous must come from the bad examples, and the one that should have won must come from one of the 2 award websites (the Webby Awards or the UX Design Awards).

  3. The bad example you found most humorous
    1. Name it and include a link and a screenshot of it.
    2. Why did you find it the most humorous?
    3. Fill out the 10 point checklist for it.
  4. From one of the 2 award websites (the Webby Awards or the UX Design Awards), a submission that didn't win that you think should have won an award
    1. Name it and include a link and a screenshot of it.
    2. Why do you think it should have won?
    3. Fill out the 10 point checklist for it.

Bad Use of Data Article

Find an article from the past year about a use of data that you consider bad or unethical. The article must be about a specific company or industry, and it must come from a reputable source. Use the CRAAP test to check that it is reputable.

Include:

  1. The citation and link for the article
  2. A short summary of the article
  3. Why you consider this use of data bad or unethical
  4. Your CRAAP test results for the article

Deliverables

  1. A text document with answers to each of the above questions, making sure to include the 10 point checklist (10ptChecklist.docx) for EACH of the 4 choices you picked from above. You may do 4 documents clearly labelled for which one it is, or one document that contains all 4 clearly labelled.
  2. Your Bad Use of Data Article: the citation and link, summary, explanation, and CRAAP test results.
